Bio
I am a postdoctoral Cancer Prevention Fellow at the National Cancer Institute. I completed my doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Rebecca Fitzgerald at the Early Cancer Institute and my thesis examined the etiology and early detection of esophageal adenocarcinoma and its pre-malignant condition known as Barrett’s esophagus. I aim to improve our understanding of cancer to better prevent, detect, and manage this disease to reduce its public health burden. I also like focusing on questions related to structural inequities and health disparities as public health issues. I enjoy teaching and mentoring future scientists, and pursuing my hobbies as an avid runner and photographer.
